WORLD ASSEMBLY SECURITY COUNCIL
REPEAL: "COMMEND IMPERIUM ANGLORUM"
DELEGATE IS VOTING: AGAINST ☒
FINAL RESULTS:
3,512 FOR
11,845 AGAINST
Overview
Repeal: Commend Imperium Anglorum seeks to revoke the commendation given to Imperium Anglorum of Europe for, "[Authoring] 14 previous General Assembly resolutions ... [enacting] several laws for Europe, including Europe's Basic Law, which constitutes and organizes how the region is run ... and noting that since Imperium Anglorum was elected as WA Delegate in September 2015, the region's population increased from 500 to a record high of 950 and continues to increase," among other things.
Author's Justification
The author of this resolution, Jocospor of the Confederation of Corrupt Dictators:
[Calls] into question the very sincerity of Imperium Anglorum's (IA) World Assembly operations, which, though lauded by SCR#223, have of late caused mass controversy and disharmony among member nations of this WA;
[Disappointingly notes] that IA outwardly uses its reputation and power amongst the international community to further its own interests;
[Notes] that, for example, IA, along with a collective of other WA Delegates, consciously instigates and perpetuates the lemming effect during WA votes; that is, dishonourably dumping a large number of votes at the onset of the ballot, creating a majority for member nations to align with;
[Is] frustrated that some of IA’s more recent General Assembly resolutions, such as and GAR#443 and GAR#452, are, put simply, seemingly incomprehensible to the vast majority of member nations;
[Is] equally annoyed that IA would disrespect this WA by proposing vague, quasi-sarcastic resolutions such as "Debtor Voting Rights" (which is, at the time of this condemnation's writing, at vote);
[Is] convinced IA adopts an air of superiority when dealing with nations it does not consider to be worth its time;
[Is] furthermore, alarmed that SCR#223 would falsify the import of the legislation IA repealed to mislead this WA:
1. GAR#329 did not “[permit] national sub-groups to disregard and neglect nationwide laws”;
2. GAR#350 did not “[stop] the World Assembly from passing any laws;” and
3. GAR#396 did not “[slow] down the Internet;”
[Is] appalled that IA would seek to undermine both the democratic process and fellow authors in such a deceptive fashion.

My Decision
This resolution seems to be nothing but an airing of Jocospor's frustrations towards IA, especially after reading through the resolution's discussion thread. Put simply, I do not believe Imperium Anglorum's commendation needs revoked at this time, and I find it somewhat ironic that the Confederation of Corrupt Dictators' founder/delegate/viceroy is now concerned about preserving democratic processes and principles, especially when their forum signature has, "Destroy democracy," in it.
I have cast my vote against this repeal.
